Ashfield’s premier summer event, the Ashfield Festival, will this year take place on Saturday 6th July at Sutton Lawn.  The 2013 Festival will once again be linked to the Active Ashfield Games and will build upon Ashfield’s sporting and cultural legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The event will provide exciting opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a day full of sport, music, entertainment and family attractions, including a funfair and the ever popular music stage which will provide a fantastic evening concert finale.

Councillor Steve Carroll said: “The Ashfield Festival will bring together our communities to enjoy a fun packed family day. We are well ahead with the planning this year and looking forward to delivering a great event.”

Regular updates will be released on Ashfield District Council’s website at and on the Ashfield District Council facebook page.  For further information, please contact Theresa Hodgkinson, Leisure and Community Development Manager 01623 457588.
