Energy-saving measures valued at up to £6,000 are available, including heating and cooling systems. Sounds too good to be true but it’s guaranteed as 100% true for micro businesses meeting any one of the following conditions:

•Use less than 100,000 kWh of electricity a year
•Use less than 293,000 kWh of gas a year
•Have fewer than 10 employees (or their full-time equivalent)
•Your yearly turnover, or yearly balance sheet, is not more than 2 million Euros.

The British Gas Energy Efficiency Fund is designed to help micro-businesses manage their energy costs in the long-term, by providing free expert advice and energy efficiency measures.

The fund has been created by British Gas as part of the settlement of an investigation by Ofgem, concluded in April 2014, into British Gas’ breaches of its Standard Licence Conditions 14 (1), 14(3) and 7A. More information about the investigation and breaches can be found on the Ofgem website.

Eligible businesses will receive a free on-site survey, as well as fully-funded installation of energy saving measures valued up to £6,000 per business, helping you save money on your energy bill.  You can register your interest via the British Gas website.

British Gas is Britain’s biggest energy supplier serving around 10 million homes and nearly 950,000 business sites across the UK. British Gas is also one of the largest installers of energy efficiency products helping customers save energy and money.

British Gas is a major shareholder in 4energy who are a leading provider of low energy cooling products & intelligent energy management solutions.  4energy’s innovative products and solutions are designed for easy installation and low maintenance on existing or new facilities.

4energy’s mission is to provide a service to install heating and cooling via air source heat pump technologies. 4energy will provide an intuitive and intelligent software platform through web interface; this will provide monitoring of the infrastructure supplied.

Managing Director of Kirkby-in-Ashfield based Global EMC, Garry Pitchford, shared his experience of the process:

“4 Energy contacted me 2 weeks ago to tell me I was eligible for a fully-funded installation of energy saving measures valued up to £6,000. As with any other busy business Director my immediate reaction was to dismiss.  However, I was intrigued so we arranged a meeting, it was straightforward and professional with no hidden agenda or strings attached. Following the meeting, 4energy completed a survey.

“Less than 2 weeks later, they came to install a HVAC application (air source heat pump) which delivers energy efficient cooling and heating.  The process took 3 days, did not cause any disruption to our operation and the results have had an immediate impact – as a business we are not only saving money on energy bills but our work environment is comfortable.

“This helps represent Global EMC as a professional organisation when welcoming visitors to our offices. My message to other SME’s in Ashfield and Mansfield is ‘just do it’ – opportunities as easy as this are rare in business.”

As part of the process your business will be subject to a credit check.  Visit the supporting links below for verification:
