Hucknall based Byron Business Centre  has experienced healthy occupancy levels in the first year of its operation.

The business centre is a stunning redevelopment project which has transformed the former Beardall Street school premises into an eye-catching business centre, which opened in April 2013.

The business centre offers an impressive range of features including:

  •  High quality office accommodation, close to Hucknall town centre
  •  16 individual offices of varying size (14 to 30 sqm) – from one-person working spaces to areas suitable for small teams
  •  Shared meeting room for tenants’ use
  •  16 parking spaces
  •  Energy-efficient features including PIR-controlled lighting and solar panels
  •  Cycle shelter

James Houghton, Estates Officer at Ashfield District Council, is pleased to report that the business centre has exceeded the target first year occupancy target of 50% with 10 of the 16 units currently occupied.

The success of the business centre is attributed to a number of factors, including the town centre location. The units were made available at a time when there was a gap in the market and were well-positioned to take advantage of the improving economy. Competitive rents and location on Nottingham’s doorstep with strong connectivity via the trams and train mean that the business centre is able to attract businesses from a wide catchment area.

The business centre is perfectly positioned both for companies requiring a base in the town, and also for those who want to be strategically placed for business in Nottingham, without incurring the costs associated with a city location.

James Houghton said, “The business centre is well-positioned to take advantage of the improving market and we are optimistic about letting more units before the end of the year.”
