Apprenticeship Levy – Are you Levywise?

12 April, 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

The second of two FREE events in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to help employers understand the apprenticeship levy.  Delivered by Levywise experts, these events will provide you with an opportunity to:

  • Learn more about what an Apprenticeship is
  • The funding environment and range of Apprenticeship provision
  • Things to consider when embarking on Apprenticeships
  • Options for levy and non-levy paying businesses
  • PLUS an overview of the Apprenticeship Provider network and alternative D2N2 Training provision

These fast-track sessions will provide some clarity, with practical guidance in order to ensure you understand how the Levy impacts your business so you can make informed decisions.  And, because this employer event is sponsored by D2N2 LEP, it’s completely FREE to attend.  Not only that but it is delivered by experts in their field: Workpays.

Who should attend?

Anyone wanting to know more about the Apprentice Levy, including those responsible for finance, HR or training, in particular those who are responsible for compliance, payroll and training.

Why attend?

As businesses will no doubt already be aware the Apprenticeship Levy comes into force on 6 April 2017, applying to businesses with a payroll of £3 million or more (any connected businesses will be included in the calculation).  It will also affect the way in which smaller business access funding for apprenticeship schemes.  The information available to date can be very confusing.  And, in most cases, it’s provided by training companies attempting to sell their specific training to you, so we are taking a different approach.

This seminar will guide you through the regulations, giving you clear and easy to understand practical advice on what the levy means for your business – ensuring you can make the most of the new system and preventing any unexpected surprises.

This event is in Nottinghamshire, however, it is complemented by another on 3 April in Derbyshire.
