D2N2 Growth Hub: Using digital PR to grow your business

30 January, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

This workshop is delivered in partnership between D2N2 Growth Hub, Rushcliffe Business Partnership and the Digital Growth Programme.  Furthermore, it is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

What’s on offer?

PR can really boost your bottom line. But for many entrepreneurs PR is either a black art, total mystery, or financially out of their reach.

The ‘Using PR to Grow Your Business’ workshop gives entrepreneurs the confidence, skills and tools they need to start doing their own PR using the new digital tools available.

This hands-on and practical seminar demystifies the media, explains how businesses can take advantage of digital PR opportunities and gives an insight into what journalists – both traditional and online – want.

Topics covered

During the first half the seminar covers:

  • Why the media needs entrepreneurs to do digital PR
  • What the benefits to your business can be
  • A breakdown of the media sector by sector
  • How journalists use social media and how entrepreneurs can use it to get in front of them
  • Using the digital world of bloggers, websites and earned media

Part two of the seminar covers:

  • What makes a story?
  • Three facts every entrepreneur needs to know about the media
  • Top ten tips for press releases
  • News writing exercise
