D2N2: Video and YouTube marketing

7 February, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This FREE video workshop is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.  It is hosted by the D2N2 Growth Hub in partnership with Oxford Innovation.

Video marketing

“If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth 1.8 million.”  OK, so this quote is unlikely to be mathematically accurate.  However, it does highlight just how valuable video is to businesses.  Both on your website and across your social media channels. Basically, with continued  technology improvements, it’s never been easier to produce video content.  Our morning briefing aims to help you by:

  • Explaining the advantages of using video in your business
  • Exploring hosting options for your video content including YouTube, Vimeo & Wistia
  • Understanding best practices for video SEO
  • Outlining simple techniques to ensure your video engages with the viewer
  • Suggesting ideas for how to use video in your business
  • Introducing short form video options from Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Instagram & Snapchat
  • Explaining the rise of livestreaming video and how you can take advantage of this in your business

About the trainer

Liam Lally is a social media trainer for the Ebusiness Club.  He has helped train businesses on all aspects of online marketing.  As an illustration he has provided training on all the social media channels, video marketing, blogging and paid advertising.

Not only that but his company, Zaddle Internet Marketing, is a Premier Google AdWords partner.  He has also successfully run video marketing campaigns for several local businesses.

Who should attend?

This workshop is for SMEs, sole traders and business owners in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire who are interested in learning more about how to use video to market their business.

Venue

Since the event will take place at Mansfield i-Centre, the venue is local and accessible.  If you haven’t been before, you can find it on Oakham Business Park, Hamilton Way, Mansfield NG18 5BR.

If you can’t make this date, the same session is repeated at the Worksop Turbine on Tuesday 28 February.  Find out more.

Timing

Registration is from 9.00am for a prompt start at 9.30am. Refreshments will be provided upon arrival.

ERDF

This workshop is funded via the European Regional Development Fund.  Therefore we are required to evidence that you are a Small to Medium Enterprise (SME).

As a result, there will be a couple of forms that you will need to complete either prior to the event or on the day.  These will then be sent to you once you have registered. One form is to ensure you are an SME, the other is to capture any business support you’ve received over the last 3 years.  We need this to ensure you haven’t exceeded €200,000.  If you have previously completed these forms at a Growth Hub event you will not have to complete them again.
