EMCC: Mansfield business briefing with Ben Bradley MP

20 October, 8:00 am - 9:30 am

Chamber Logo

An exclusive offer to Chamber members only.  A great opportunity for local firms to meet newly-elected MP Ben Bradley over breakfast.  Here you will be able to discuss a broad range of issues affecting organisations locally.

What’s involved?

This is an informal opportunity to influence and to raise any concerns or observations to Ben Bradley for Westminster’s attention.  This could include business rates, broadband connectivity, or accessing skilled labour, for example.  In particular, we would be particularly interested to listen to how local firms perceive the effects of Brexit on their long-term vitality.

At a grass-roots level, Chamber members from a broad range of sectors are actively encouraged to raise any campaigning issues.  This will enable the Chamber to accurately articulate (and support) the needs of Mansfield businesses.  Furthermore, this meeting will be conveniently located at the premises of Chamber Patron, Total Integrated Solutions.

Further information and registration

Since this event is both free to attend and with a limited number of places available, Chamber-members are encouraged to register without delay.  Equally, for any further information, please contact the Representation Team on 01246 212533.

Procurement event

On Tuesday 7 November we are hosting a procurement event.  This will focus on how to secure public sector contracts in north Nottinghamshire.  The event will run from 8am to 10am at the Summit Centre in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.  What’s more, this is also completely FREE to attend.

The event will focus on public procurement processes to encourage more small organisations to tender for locally-available work.  It will clarify the processes involved and showcase where opportunities can be found.  Most importantly, it will also outline the support available and share some examples of best-practice.  Find out more and register.

Access to Finance for Growth event

This event will take place on Wednesday 8 November from 9am to 12:30pm at the Civic Quarter in Mansfield.  What’s more, it is completely free to attend since it is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

If your business is ready to grow and you are looking for ways to finance this growth, then this could be the event for you.  We are running this workshop in partnership with the D2N2 Growth Hub and the EMB Group.  This interactive workshop will take you through the minefield of business finance, covering the various grants and funding on offer locally, regionally and nationally.  Find out more and register.
