Enabling Innovation launch event

18 January, 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Nottingham Trent University (NTU) for an exciting event to encourage small businesses to innovate and grow via a series of Insight Breakfasts and Masterclass sessions, delivered at Vision University Centre.  Find out more about the launch event here, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Nottingham Trent University at Vision West Nottinghamshire College would like to invite D2N2 based SMEs to join us for an exciting event. We will be encouraging small businesses to innovate and grow via a series of Insight Breakfasts and Masterclass sessions that will be delivered at the impressive Vision University Centre, a fantastic new facility at West Nottinghamshire College. Our Insight Breakfasts offer a bite-sized introduction to hot topics relevant to local SMEs. If you are inspired by our breakfast events we encourage you to look out for our monthly Masterclass sessions, starting later in 2017, for a more detailed look at the topics covered. We will be supporting SMEs to innovate, develop and succeed as they grow. All of our events will have the opportunity for networking so you will get the chance to talk to other businesses and our staff to find out more about the business support we can offer to you.

Our first event will include an introduction to NTU’s Enabling Innovation project and some information about future events. We will have guest Speaker Richard Lee delivering a talk on the art of achieving, entrepreneurship and how to implement new business ideas. Richard is a former professional footballer in a career that spanned 15 years. Following this Richard became a serial entrepreneur, having created several successful businesses from scratch. One of his successful projects gained a large investment on the popular TV show Dragon’s Den. Richard has since built a number of businesses including a football agency, vintage coffee truck franchise, goalkeeping coaching franchise, app business and a health-based networking business. He is a bestselling author, with his book ‘Graduation: Life Lessons of a Professional Footballer’.

This session will run from 8am -10am beginning with breakfast and networking.

This event is free to attend, but attendees must register in advance. In order to attend this event you must be eligible for support from the Enabling Innovation Programme, which supports SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Enabling Innovation is a three-year collaboration between Nottingham Trent University, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Derby to support SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to innovate. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
