Insight breakfast: Crowdfunding

18 October, 7:30 am - 10:00 am

Vision West Nottinghamshire College and Nottingham Trent University (NTU) are working together on an exciting series of free insight sessions and masterclasses.  These events are all themed around business innovation, success and development.  They also provide the opportunity to network.

Introduction to Insights

The insight sessions last for two hours and are delivered by business experts. They run from 8am-10am with the opportunity for breakfast and networking from 7.30am.  These sessions run monthly from January to October 2017 in the new university centre on the college’s Derby Road campus. Each session covers a different topic and is often complemented by a full-day masterclass. What’s more, since these are part-funded through ERDF, attendance at these events is completely free.

Insight Content

This month’s insight breakfast session is all about crowd funding.  It will answer the following questions:

  • What is crowdfunding?
  • How can you use it to get your innovation off the ground?

This event will help you to understand the basics of crowdfunding, the pitfalls and success, the donations/rewards and discuss the available online platforms.  Whether you’re just looking to find out more about this alternative model of finance or you’re ready to plan a crowdfunded campaign,

The agenda for the sessions is as follows:

  • 7:30am Event opens for registration, breakfast and networking.
  • 8:00am Introduction to Enabling Innovation, Vision West Nottinghamshire College and our guest speaker begins.
  • 9:45am – Q and A
  • 10am Session ends – networking for those who wish to stay on

Further information and registration

This event will be open from 7:30am with networking and breakfast, our guest speaker will start at 8am.  Although this event is free to attend, attendees must register in advance.  In order to attend this event you must be eligible for support from the Enabling Innovation Programme, which supports SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
