NTU: Brainfood – preventing creative burnout

20 July, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Nottingham Trent Uni logo

Join us for our lively lunchtime session which aims to inspire you to innovate and be more creative.  Led by Kirsty Fox from Bees Make Honey.  Arrival at 12.30pm for registration and buffet lunch, presentation/workshop begins at 1pm.

Why attend?

Innovation can’t happen without creative thinking.  In other words, without people being capable of improvisation, lateral thinking, and creative problem-solving.  Self-employment can be very draining and stressful.  The business becomes a huge part of your life as an individual because you need passion and drive to succeed.  But this can easily lead to bad habits in terms of work-life balance which reduce your ability to cope with stress and handicap your creativity.  This workshop will walk attendees through the basic physiology of stress and how they can become more resilient, leading to a more energised brain that is ready and willing to innovate.

This event is free to attend, but attendees must register in advance. In order to attend this event you must be eligible for support from the Enabling Innovation Programme, which supports SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Programme

  • 12.30 – Arrival, registration and lunch
  • 13.00- Workshop
