November 8, 2016 3:50 pm

The official launch of the Mansfield & Ashfield Enterprise Adviser Network was held at a breakfast event at Forever Green on Thursday 3rd November.

Enterprise Advisers are local business leaders volunteering to support local schools to review their current careers, employability and enterprise strategies in context of the needs of employers in the key D2N2 growth sectors.

Richard Fuller, MD of County Battery’s and M2020 Board Member is the Enterprise Adviser matched to The Brunts Academy.  Richard said “This is a fantastic opportunity for business and education leaders to work together to improve the opportunity of young people to have more ‘meaningful & purposeful’ employer intervention to inform their future career decisions”

The Evolve Trust is leading on this project, across Mansfield & Ashfield, on behalf of the Local Enterprise Partnership – D2N2.  Berni Dickinson, Director of Marketing & Enterprise for the Trust has taken on the role of the Enterprise Coordinator and will manage the Enterprise Adviser Network.

Berni said “I have been working with the M2020 Business Network to recruit a team of Enterprise Advisers who will work closely with Headteachers to develop powerful, lasting connections between the local businesses, schools and academies across the Mansfield & Ashfield Area”.

So far, the following Enterprise Advisors have been recruited Martin Rigley – Lindhurst Engineering, Shane Gunstone – Asmech Systems Ltd, Paul Andrews – Manor Hotel, Richard Fuller-County Battery Services, Jane Box – IPDL ltd, John Mattison-JB Consultancy, Stewart Rickersey – NewsJournal and Peter Roberts- Collis Engineering Ltd
