Invest Ashfield & Mansfield - The area for growth

Invest Ashfield & Mansfield offers a number of grants across Ashfield and Mansfield.  We offer business start-up grants, business growth grants and a whole host of grants to support retail businesses.  Find out more.  We recently relaunched our grants portfolio at the MakeIt 2020 event on 15 June.

Grants overview

In fact, we now offer most of our grants across Ashfield and Mansfield, with the only exception being the markets grant which is only available in Ashfield.  For all of our grants, companies need to be an SME (employing under 250).  More information on each of the grants, including eligible expenditure and exclusions is summarised below:

Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE)

This grant offers businesses taking on a new apprentice up to £1,500.  This is on top of the current National Apprenticeship Service’s (NAS) £1,500 AGE.  The grant will support Ashfield and Mansfield employers who would not otherwise be in a position to recruit an apprentice.  The apprentice should also be between 16 and 24 and from either Ashfield or Mansfield.  While this is offered in both Ashfield and Mansfield, unfortunately there are no further funds available in Ashfield.

The following exclusions apply: pawn brokers, adult/private shops, betting shops, charity shops, vaping shops, licensed premises, national and international chain stores.

Further information

To find out more on any of these grants or to view the more detailed guidance notes, please visit our dedicated business grants page.  Here you will also find the relevant contact details to take your enquiry further.  However, if you are not sure which grant is for you, please give us a call on 01623 463813 and we can discuss further.

Since our grants are offered across Ashfield and Mansfield, this means that businesses can move freely throughout our patch and still be eligible for the same grants.  Although we do not currently offer a markets grant in Mansfield, there is a markets incentive scheme for new traders.  Brief details of this have been included in the section above.  Again, more details can be found on our dedicated business grants page.
