July 24, 2014 2:47 pm

Mansfield 2020 business networking organisation

A networking meeting with a prominent speaker with great news and a well-developed local business looking to share its positive news and growth.

First the group heard from Alastair Cunningham, agent for the East Midlands, Bank of England. Alastair has over 550 business contacts in the East Midlands that he regularly liaises with to understand the current trading environments and to find out about their plans.

The economy is growing. However, the big question is: ‘Is this growth sustainable?’  The growth has been driven by construction and consumer confidence.  In addition an increasing amount of business contacts are now making investments.

Alastair conducted a Q & A session providing the opportunity for members to ask business-related questions for guidance.

Next the group heard from the Overton Electrical Services. Overton Electrical have over 31 years of supporting local businesses. They are dedicated to local employment and employ over 26 local engineers and have just recruited their 61st apprentice. The organisation supports local schools and colleges with work experience.

They are providers of electrical services to the domestic, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors. With a vast range of services and products, with the ability to provide quality solutions to any domestic, business electrical or alarm system problems with highly qualified electricians.

If you’re interested in networking groups you can find a full list of networking organisations across Ashfield and Mansfield running events for local businesses.
