TIS award

Mansfield-based business TIS, one of the UK’s leading fire, security and communications specialists, has received a prestigious award from GENT, a leading manufacturer of fire detection and alarm products, in recognition of 15 years of outstanding service, support and commitment to excellence as a GENT 24 approved systems integrator.

Since it was launched in 2000 GENT by Honeywell has set the benchmark for excellence within the fire detection and alarm sector. It now boasts 90 partners who operate at the pinnacle of their profession.

Now widely acknowledged as the industry’s ‘ultimate badge of honour’, companies that form the Gent 24 network are all fully trained and approved and each member undergoes a rigorous assessment process.

As a result of introducing this initiative, GENT now benefits from working with some of the UK’s leading specialist system integrators, which also provides end users with competitive choice and quality assurance.

Dan Ascough and Donald McFarlane from GENT made a special visit to TIS to present the award to TIS’ commercial director Paul Cook and Chris Mills, head of new business, along with a huge cake which was shared amongst the workforce.

Commenting on being awarded this prestigious accolade, Chris said:

“Since becoming system GENT integrators, our fire alarm sales have gone from strength to strength. This award is a proud addition to our other recent achievements in the fire alarm sector, including our BAFE accreditation and Gent Elite System Integrator.

“The whole team at TIS looks forward to continuing our fantastic working relationship with GENT Honeywell for many more years to come.”

TIS employs around 140 staff at its Mansfield headquarters and develops some of the most advanced and sophisticated systems for industry, The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and local authorities. The company also supplies a wide range of associated products and services, from CCTV and access control to audio systems and IT networks.
