Mansfield town centre shoppers

A recent retail survey of Mansfield town centre shows vacant properties at its lowest for over 2 years.  At just 13.47% this figure lies below the national average and also represents a significant decrease from three months ago when it was 15.44%.  This new figure (13.47%) also compares well to the same time last year when the vacancy rate was 14.6%.

But the success stories don’t stop there…

  • Mansfield Palace Theatre recently announced a record-breaking year with average attendance rising from 70% to 74% and the most popular pantomime for 5 years.  Read more here.
  • Mansfield Transport Interchange opened last year, improving vital linkages with the railway station and delivering more people through its doors every day than East Midlands Airport.  Read more here.
  • Queen’s Place, a new eco-building in the heart of Mansfield town centre was officially opened in December 2013, offering high-quality retail and office space.  Read more here.
  • Mansfield BID have been instrumental in delivering a number of benefits to the town, including free WIFI, free PAT testing and recycling services to businesses and help with reducing their energy bills.  Visit their website.

As a result of our combined efforts, Mansfield is a more vibrant, better and safer place to be.  Crime is down by 9.6 per cent, footfall is up by 5.5 per cent, spending is up by 7.4 per cent, more new businesses are opening up and our national retail rankings have soared from 135 to 112.  If you would like to know more about Mansfield and the many benefits it could offer to your business, please contact us.
