Nottinghamshire Wellbeing @ Work

Nottinghamshire Wellbeing @ Work is a FREE programme which aims to support local businesses to promote and enable health and wellbeing opportunities within workplace settings.  The scheme is flexible to suit all organisations and comprises of 5 attainment levels incorporating the following themed areas:

  • Healthy Eating
  • Participation in sport and physical activity
  • Mental health
  • Substance Use/Misuse – drugs, alcohol, smoking
  • Protecting health – cancer, domestic abuse, sexual health
  • Health and Safety in the workplace

 

Why get involved?

Benefits for employers:

  • Potential economic return on investment for a business that invests in workplace health initiatives is £4.17 for every £1 spent.
  • An employer who actively promotes wellbeing in the workplace is eight times more likely to have employees fully engaged in their work.
  • Promoting good health at work can see a 25 to 40% reduction in absenteeism.
  • Take advantage of health, sport and physical activity opportunities available to access in the Nottinghamshire area including discounted membership options at our Everyone Active Leisure Centre’s.

As part of this year’s Active Ashfield Games Ashfield District Council are encouraging workplaces to get involved in a free It’s a knock out competition which will take place in June. This event has proven to be very popular in the past and is a great team building activity for workplaces to get involved in. Please see the leaflet for more details.
