On time delivery for Middlebrook Transport at Castlewood Business Park, J28, M1

CWC Group, owners and developers of Castlewood Business Park, the East Midlands foremost distribution and manufacturing location at Junction 28 of the M1 Motorway, are pleased to announce the latest occupier to the scheme, Middlebrook Transport.

Delivered on time and on budget yet again, Middlebrook become the latest occupier in this superbly successful site which sits adjoining the M1 at Junction 28 of the Motorway at its intersection with the A38.

Middlebrook have purchased a bespoke unit of 30,000ft² and are already in occupation and trading well.

Joining existing occupiers, the Cooperative Group, Alloga and Bombardier amongst others, this deal now takes floor area built or under construction to over 1.3 million sq ft with a new facility for Alloga of 220,000ft² due for practical completion in October this year.

Development Director at CWC Group, James Richards, commented:

“It is a pleasure to announce another new occupier to the park to augment the various distribution and manufacturing companies already on site.

We have a real mix of occupiers at Castlewood ranging from household name distribution companies such as the Cooperative Group through to smaller manufacturing companies such as Midland Aerospace and now we have a further local occupier relocating to take advantage of the superb facilities and location we have on offer.

Whilst we still have plenty of land available for units to be built of up to 300,000ft², this deal is now really our bread and butter as a local occupier needing just 30,000ft² saw this as their natural home and we were delighted to construct a bespoke unit as a result.

We hope, regardless of any uncertainty in the economy elsewhere, to announce further new deals shortly and believe that the quality of this location and the buildings we can offer will see deals continue for many years to come.”

Tim Gilbertson of FHP and Ranjit Gill of Savills acted on behalf of CWC Group in agreeing a deal and Tim Gilbertson commented:

“As mentioned by James Richards, this type of deal, rehousing a local occupier into what some might consider a ‘small’ building is our ideal market for the near future.  Whilst bigger property requirements will always be accommodated whenever possible, the vast majority of companies around J28 of the M1 are in this sector of mid-sized businesses needing between 20,000ft² and 50,000ft².  At Castlewood we have the ability to accommodate on a sale or letting basis requirements of this size with ease for many years to come and I can foresee a position where a number of deals in this size sector will be completed in the near future.

We are delighted to welcome Middlebrook Transport to the site and look forward to announcing further deals in the near future.”
