The Range comes to Sutton to create a 100 jobs

The Range the home, garden and leisure retailer has revealed plans to open a new store in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire later this year, which could bring about 100 jobs to the region.

The store, which will be located on Station Road in Sutton-in-Ashfield, was the former Homebase will open in March and is part of the company’s aims to create almost 7,000 jobs over the next three years.

Chris Dawson, the Plymouth-based entrepreneur behind The Range, said: “We feel that The Range is a unique shopping experience that has something for everyone and we are confident that the people of Sutton-In-Ashfield will enjoy what The Range has to offer.

“We are a fast growing company and I am confident that The Range Sutton-In-Ashfield will play an important role in our expansion; I would personally like to thank the council for welcoming us and being so supportive. I look forward to inviting the people of Sutton-In-Ashfield down to see what we are all about in the New Year.”

Councillor Jim Aspinall said he was delighted with the opening.

He said; “The creation of 100 jobs is fantastic news for the area and the people here. This is all part of a movement in our regeneration development to create the right atmosphere and promote the area and all of its benefits. Jobs are vital for us to grow and develop the area.”
