Spark business idea competition

February 28, 2014 3:13 pm

Spark Nottinghamshire is designed to create new jobs and support business growth through providing local business people free online business support, networking opportunities, expert training days and business coaching throughout 2014.  And in March a Spark business idea competition will be launched with an anticipated prize fund in excess of £25k which will be awarded at a high profile judging event in June.  This initiative is being run by Oxford Innovation on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council and aims to generate jobs, encourage entrepreneurism and boost the local economy.

The dedicated and interactive Spark website will act as a one stop shop for people seeking guidance on starting a business with informative videos, downloadable fact sheets, financial tools and video interviews with a host of business leaders who share top tips and the secrets to their success.

There are opportunities for both new and existing businesses with a great business idea and existing businesses can also be involved through sponsoring and mentoring.  The more the merrier, so spread the word about Spark.  For more information on Spark for businesses click here and for business support organisations click here.  This programme is open to Nottinghamshire residents only.

To lend your support, to sponsor or to find out more about Spark, log on to the newly launched website.
