Taylors highlight driver shortage on BBC Radio Nottingham

July 8, 2015 9:02 am

Alan Taylor MD of the Taylors Transport Group and Jonathan Else – Taylor’s Driver Training School highlight the current HGV driver shortage throughout the UK in their interview on BBC Radio Nottingham’s morning show with Sarah Julian.

Recent statistics confirm that the average age of HGV drivers in the UK is 53, 13% are over 60 and only 2% are under 25.  The industry is working on making the area of logistics more attractive to the youth of today and Taylors are currently looking to expand their Transport Planning Department and encourage HGV drivers to join the Taylor’s Team.

After the broadcast Sarah came to visit The Taylor’s Driver Training School and as you can see above she experienced at first hand the view from a Taylor’s cab.
