Taylors Transport joined ‘Made in the Midlands’ Group in January this year and have become an active member during the course of the year attending regular meetings and networking with manufacturers in the midlands.

Made in the Midlands 2015 Award Ceremony – held in Birmingham on Thursday 29th October was hosted by Chris Greenhough, President of ‘Made in the Midlands’.  Guest speaker and presenter of the awards was Professor Morley who worked with Ford UK, Austin Rover UK before appearing in Channel 4’s reality programme, The Secret Millionaire.

Taylors received a trophy of commendation for the significant investment that has been made in the last year.

The main areas of investment have been –

  • Their fleet which is now in excess of 300 vehicles
  • Garage/Maintenance Site extended and refurbished
  • New garage body shop
  • Warehouse extension- storage facilities now total over 250,000 sq ft
  • People – staff are their biggest asset and this year they have recruited 3 new Senior Managers, 3 operational staff and 2 new apprentices.

 

The MD, Alan Taylor is passionate about the business and continually invests in the business to bring continual improvement to services and thereby ensuring  loyal customer’s demands are met.

The next date in their diary is the 12th November – East Midlands MITM Launch Exhibition at iPro Stadium, Pride Park, Derby.
