Tri 1 2 or 3 to raise funds!

March 8, 2013 9:23 am

Active Ashfield is challenging families, clubs, schools, pubs and other local organisations to take part in the Active Ashfield Tri 1 2 3 challenge to raise funds for a good cause of their choice and also support the local O.A.S.I.S. charity which supports Olympians and Paralympians from Ashfield.

Tri 1,2 and 3

The event will start with a fun warm up at Ashfield School on Sunday 14th April.

  • Tri 1 will follow the warm up and is a challenge to walk, run or wheelchair a mile or more. Why not do something whacky or in fancy dress?
  • Tri 2 challenges you to bring your bike and cycle up to five Miles (20 laps around the track).
  • Tri 3 challenges you to Swim a Mile (64 lengths) as an individual or team from 2.00pm at the Lammas Leisure Centre Pool.

Entry is £3 per person if you sign up to I, 2 or all 3 events by 29th March. All entry fees are donated to O.A.S.I.S. (Olympians from Ashfield Support In Sport).

Cllr. Steve Carroll said, “We are challenging as many people as possible to take part in one, two or all three events. It’s not competitive at all. It is a great way of having fun, whilst raising funds along the way and everyone who completes each challenge will receive a medal.”

You can register online or download an entry form at, visit the Active Ashfield Facebook page or contact Sports Development on 01623 457410 or 01623 457537.
