Are you an Ashfield or Mansfield business looking to win contracts from the public sector? If the answer is yes, then here is a diary date your business cannot afford to miss.

A ‘Meet the Buyer – Public Sector Procurement’ event has been organised through the Invest Ashfield and Mansfield team for Monday the 8 June 2015 from 8:30am to 1:00pm at the Kings Mill Conference Centre.

Working in partnership with the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Nottinghamshire County Council, Ashfield and Mansfield district councils, Nottinghamshire Police and the East Midlands Chamber, we will be highlighting how you can make your business ready to apply and win contracts from the public sector.

Millions of pounds are available on contracts covering a vast array of goods and services that include IT, facilities, estates, housing, agency working, catering and care services and all are attainable if you know where to look and how to apply.

Cllr Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration at Mansfield District Council said: “This event is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to find out more about how the procurement process works in the public sector. Come along and find out what opportunities your business could tap into and how you might be able to benefit from the millions of pounds worth of contracts issued by the public sector.
Councillor Jim Aspinall said: “This is an opportunity not to be missed and I urge businesses to come along and find out more. The event will provide expert advice and could make a huge difference to a local business or organisation.”
