Big Local Lottery grant for Warsop Parish

December 5, 2013 5:39 pm

Late in 2010, the Big Local Lottery made an award of £1million to Warsop (The Big Local project) to be spent over a 10 year period, on the basis that it was an area of proven need and had previously been overlooked for receiving lottery money.

The fund provides an exciting opportunity for residents to make a massive and lasting positive difference to their communities, using the grant award. It’s about bringing together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live.

9th February 2013 saw the launch of the lottery funded ‘Big Warsop’, the local partnership that will drive the Big Local project forward over the next 10 years. The two Big Warsop delivery priorities are:

  • Strengthening communities
  • Encouraging training and enterprise.
