The Chamber’s Quarterly Economic Survey for the third quarter of 2018 is now live for completion.  The QES provides a regular barometer of our region’s business outlook and performance.  Furthermore, it also provides vital evidence to the Chamber for their policy and lobbying activities.  Not only that, but it is designed with businesses in mind, so only takes five minutes to complete.  View this quarter’s survey now.

Last Quarterly Economic Survey

Thanks to those businesses which completed last quarter’s survey, the Chamber holds an accurate snapshot of the regional business landscape.  Responses from last quarter showed an East Midlands economy that remained robust, despite a slight slowdown from the previous quarter.  In particular, the service sector performed strongly, while recruitment problems remained high for most businesses.  The findings – together with previous surveys – can be found on the Chamber’s website.

Why take part?

The results from this quarter’s survey will show whether the East Midlands economy benefited from a hot summer.  Or whether the deadline for the UK to leave the EU, which draws ever closer, is having a drag on activity.  Indeed we are in a time of crucial developments for how the UK economy works.  Furthermore, the Chamber will actively use the anonymised findings of this survey.  They will use these results in order to feed into national policy making.
