The Leaders of Ashfield and Mansfield District Councils, together with more than 40 local property agents, attended the official launch of Summit Park – a new state-of-the-art logistics and business park in Ashfield.

Summit Park is a 45 acre mixed use scheme offering industrial, office, logistics, leisure and roadside opportunities which is being developed by South Normanton based developer Sladen Estates.

The breakfast launch event, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel at East Midlands Airport, was attended by councillors Chris Baron and Tony Egginton who are in support of the development designed to serve all types of business from small local firms to larger manufacturers.

Chief Executive of Sladen Estates, Nick Sladen, said Summit Park was set to put Ashfield and Mansfield on the map for new business growth, offering high class logistics and industrial space.  He said: “Summit Park is located adjacent to the Mansfield/Ashfield Relief Route with approximately 20,000 vehicles passing the site each day.  It is a prime location for businesses, occupying a prominent position fronting the A617 between the towns of Ashfield and Mansfield, widely considered to be Nottinghamshire’s manufacturing heartland.”

“We were thrilled to see the interest from property agents at our launch event and to have the support of both local District Councils.  Summit Park is set to really boost the business profile of Ashfield and Mansfield and we look forward to commencing development over the coming months.”

Summit Park connects to the national motorway network at M1 J28, which is ten minutes from Summit Park via the A617 and A38. Detailed planning consent for Summit Park has already been granted and the site is fully serviced.  Sladen Estates has a proven track record in delivering high quality, commercial buildings to meet the specific needs of all types of occupier.

Nick added: “Summit Park is designed to serve all types of business, from small local firms and larger manufacturers right up to national logistics providers seeing a hub in the North East Midlands.”
