The Entrepreneurs’ Forum, which has been developed by Ashfield & Mansfield Shared Regeneration Service, is part of the Ashfield & Mansfield Ambition Programme. The sessions are delivered by expert speakers and are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The next workshop takes place on Thursday 19 September at 7.30am and will provide advice from Jon Egley from the East Midlands eBusiness Club on email marketing. He will help you gain the knowledge and skills required to plan, design and implement a successful email marketing campaign. A short presentation will include tips on getting your emails opened and read and the importance of timing and frequency.  The final seminar is on Thursday 7 November, 5.30pm – Cash collection techniques and overcoming reasons for non-payment with Steve Savva from Credit Management Training Ltd.

Both these two-hour workshops take place at The Summit Centre, Pavilion Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, NG17 7LL, starting with a 30-minute breakfast or buffet tea and are followed by a networking session.

The Entrepreneurs’ Forum provides an opportunity for new businesses and people thinking of starting their own business to meet others in similar situations to share ideas and learn from each other, provide support and encourage inter-trading.  The forum also provides much-needed advice, support and information on a wide range of issues facing businesses as well as a one-to-one mentoring support programme. The mentoring programme can provide support and motivation, help business owners to increase their business knowledge and experience, increase self-awareness, confidence and self-esteem, and provide the support necessary to deal with a wide range of business challenges.

Cllr Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: “These seminars provide the ideal opportunity for people who have just started their own business or those thinking about starting a business to meet and learn from other like-minded people in similar situations.”

Cllr Warren Nuttall for Regeneration, Community Wellbeing and Corporate Services at Ashfield District Council commented that the events would provide an excellent networking opportunity. He said: “The seminars are an excellent forum for people to network, make new contacts and share best practice. They provide a positive and creative environment to help potential and new businesses to grow and I would strongly recommend them to anyone embarking on a business venture.”
