CSN Dedicated Forum For the Midlands

29 October, 2015, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

The second round CSN consultations for the Midlands, ahead of the publication in January next year ;  an important opportunity to hear the latest research from Experian and to voice your own views on the current scene within our Sector.

There is lots in the Press and on our minds about skills at present so the CSN data is ever more critical to planning:

  • Identify sectors that are likely to be the strongest drivers of work output growth in each nation and region
  • Pinpoint the associated, specific skills that will be needed year by year
  • Highlight trends across the industry such as national and regional shifts in demand
  • Plan ahead and address the skills needs of a traditionally mobile workforce
  • Prepare for an increase in demand for certain skills at certain times
  • Understand the levels of new entrants required, and the qualifications required to ensure a qualified and competent workforce is available

As a leading industry skills forecast, CSN receives national and regional media coverage and provides vital information to both industry and stakeholders.

The regional forums are crucial part of the research and evidence obtained for the CSN;  consultation with employers and stakeholders ahead of publication early each year  to validate the forthcoming years forecast.

We want to know from an industry and stakeholder perspective how the provisional forecast fits and feels with what you are experiencing on the ground.

Your feedback, testing and validation of the forecasts and assumptions at this Forum is vital.  You  play a crucial role in the CSN work and we’d greatly value your contribution.

The Forum is limited to comments and observations during the meeting time; there will be no arising actions from it and is also a great opportunity to network and update colleagues’ on what is happening in your business and/or organisation.
