D2N2 Growth Hub: Core sales skills workshop

Join sales expert Karen Cureton for this interactive workshop on everything you need to know in making a sale.

What’s on offer?

During the workshop, we will cover the following topics:

  • How to position a sale
  • How to look for buying signals
  • When to ask for the business
  • How and when to follow up
  • Make sure you don’t miss a sale again
  • Understand the language to use to get results

Who is it for?

This workshop is open to small and medium-sized businesses based in either Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire.

The Agenda

  • 9am-9:30am – Arrival, tea & coffee and networking
  • 9:30am – Introduction to D2N2 Growth Hub
  • 9:40am – Workshop presentation, Karen Cureton
  • 10:45am – Tea and Coffee break
  • 11am – Workshop presentation, Karen Cureton

Expert speaker

Karen Cureton, Director, Cureton Consulting

Karen has a strong sales background with over twenty-five years both in retail and business.  Her corporate career peaked with a role as a Sales Director for a national housebuilder.  However, being a Sales Director didn’t fit with being a mum so she left the  corporate world in 2008 in order to set up her Sales and Social Media Consultancy based near East Midlands Airport.

The business now has two specific arms which cover sales training and social media, within that specifically:

  • Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn training
  • Social Media Management
  • Social Media Strategy and planning
  • Social Media coaching
  • Sales Training

Karen now works with SME’s and, on occasion, larger companies offering the services listed above.  In turn, their teams can then build their skills in these areas.  She is proud to have a high client retention rate and most of her clients come through referral.

Further information and registration

As the European Regional Development Fund part-funds this event, we need to evidence that you are a small to medium enterprise (SME). There will be a couple of forms that will need to be completed on the day. One form is to ensure you are a small to medium enterprise. The second is to capture any support you have received over the last 3 years to ensure you haven’t exceeded €200,000. If you have previously completed these forms at a D2N2 Growth Hub event you will not have to complete another set.

While this event is FREE to attend, we only have a limited number of spaces available. So don’t delay, register today.  This workshop is delivered in partnership between D2N2 Growth Hub and Derbyshire Dales District Council. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
