East Midlands Employment and Skills Summit 2016

28 June, 2016, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Delivering skills for the economy remains the number one issue raised by Chamber members.

Results from the Chamber’s Quarterly Economic Survey (Q1 2016) show that 53% of respondents are currently attempting to recruit, with 63% reporting problems finding people with suitable skills.

Building on the previous year’s successful event, the Chamber’s 2016 Employment and Skills Summit will continue to deliver against its manifesto aim – strengthening the link between education and the world of work.

The summit will bring together education providers, businesses and policy makers to discuss the practical ways in which business and the education sector can, and is working together to deliver the skills required for the East Midlands economy.

It will include a series of workshops, panel discussions and guest speakers, with an emphasis on practical takeaways.
