MEIF: business investment briefing for business advisers – Leicester

16 March, 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Join us at the Midlands Engine Investment Fund Regional Briefing Events.  The British Business Bank and the Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in the Midlands are holding a series of  briefing events.  These are being held in order to raise awareness of the new £250m Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF).  This Fund will provide debt and equity finance from £25,000 up to £2m for growing small businesses across the Midlands.  Please note that these events are targeted at intermediaries (or business advisors) not directly at the business audience.  In other words, anyone who advises businesses, including business advice professionals, solicitors, banks, accountants and commercial property agents.

Events for business advisers

An event will take place in each of the 10 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) areas within the MEIF region between during February and March.  These events will brief business advisers and the local business community on the new funding opportunities available.  What’s more, they will also explain exactly how businesses can access the funds.

 What is the MEIF?

The Midlands Engine Investment Fund has been established in conjunction with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the UK Government.  In summary, it will provide small and medium-sized businesses with increased flexibility in the types of funding available, as well as boosting investment levels in the Midlands.
