NBV: Starting in business programme (Day 3)

27 November, 2018, 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

From bookkeepers and beauticians to cupcake bakers and care agencies. Whatever business you dream of starting we can help you transform your idea into a business. Furthermore, we can support you with a fantastic package of training and funding. You’ll also get to meet other like-minded people. And be able to tap into the expertise of an organisation with over 30 years’ experience in helping people start businesses. What’s more, NBV will be on hand to provide you with advice every step of the way.

These starting in business workshops are offered over a three day period. The first two run on consecutive days with the final day a week later.

What’s included?

Starting in business: Week 1 – 2 Day Workshop – Day 1: 19 November, 9.30am–4.00pm. Day 2: 20 November, 9.30am – 4.00pm.

This intensive 2-day starting in business workshop is led by an experienced business trainer. In short, they will teach you the nuts and bolts of starting and running a successful business. This includes what skills are needed to run a business and the importance of Business Planning. It will also cover how to market your business, understanding opportunities and risks and how to manage money in a business.

Starting in business: Week 2 – 1 Day Business Plan – 27 November, 9.30am–3.00pm.

“He who fails to plan is planning to fail!” – Sir Winston Churchill

It’s time to focus on the Business Plan, the all-important ‘road map’ for your business. Of course, if you are looking to raise money through loans, investment or grants then you’ll need a business plan. If not, it’s simple: businesses with a clear, well thought-out Business Plan survive and grow better than those without.

In this interactive full-day starting in business session, you’ll learn the component parts of the Business Plan. You’ll also learn how to ask yourself the right questions and the importance of comprehensive market research. Also how to calculate your start-up costs and how to develop realistic financial projections.

In addition, we will also cover the additional support NBV can provide once you are up and running. This includes business advice, business workshops, networking, office facilities and much more.

Upon completion of the 3 days, you’ll get a certificate and, more importantly, you’ll have everything you need to get your business up and running! While this is a FREE starting in business course, we only have limited spaces available. So don’t delay, book your place today.
