Uni of Nottm: Energy storage afternoon tea with academic surgeries (EU sustainable energy week)

In short, find out about the latest developments in energy storage from leaders in the field at this FREE event.  Located at Nottingham University’s Innovation Park in the Energy Technologies building, not only will you find out more about energy storage but you will also meet a number of experts and have an opportunity for lab tours.

  • 2:00pm Designing metal hydride stores – David Grant, Professor of Materials Science & lead of new ‘Future Propulsions’ beacon of excellence
  • 2:15pm The potential of hydrogen storage for different applications – Gavin Walker, Professor of Sustainable Energy
  • 2:30pm Working with the grid: energy storage and demand side management – Mark Sumner,
    Professor of Electrical Energy Systems
  • 2:45pm Thermal energy storage in the built environment – Jack Wu, Assistant Professor in Sustainable Energy Technologies
  • 3:00pm Academic surgeries, 4 x 15 minute slots per academic.  Optional lab tours.

Indeed, this energy lecture is part of a series of events taking place to celebrate EU Sustainable Energy Week: #UoNEnergyWeek.  Since this is a free event, demand for places is expected to be high.  So don’t delay, register today.
