The Big House: The Start-up success series – Session 4 – Manage

26 November, 2018, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The Business START-UP SUCCESS Series consists of 4, 3-hour highly interactive workshops. In short, this business focused series provides a short, sharp introduction to developing your business idea and highlights the key areas you need to focus on to prove its value. This is session 4: Manage.

What’s on offer?

You’ll be exposed to thinking based on agile and lean start-up approaches. Indeed, these will help you keep things simple, small, speedy and safe as you test your ideas and find your route to success.

During the series you’ll define your own business model. At the start, you’ll capture the ideas that make your business unique on a Business Model Canvas (BMC). Then you’ll take this away with you and use it to capture the results of your thinking and actions throughout the series.

Expert speaker

This event is facilitated by Steve Hobbs from Ask Better Questions Ltd. In short, Steve is an experienced business owner and employer, leader and manager. Even in the thick of the ‘doing’ over the last 30+ years. In fact, the tools of his trade are questions. Basically, the aim is to ask better questions… ones that promote thought, challenge assumptions, clarify ideas, enable decision making and therefore inspire action.

Steve says: “There has been time to observe those around me lead, manage, plan and execute. What have I learned? In summary, leaders who focus on the ‘Why’, then the ‘How’ and finally the ‘What’ create teams and organisations that get things done.”
