More about Energy for Business

Businesses in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire can access funded support for energy projects through this programme supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

The team works with local businesses every day in a variety of ways. For example, we can find an academic to offer specialist advice on a particular subject, identify equipment or facilities for help in product development, place a student into your business to work on a specific project, or provide bespoke training for staff.

By working with us you can access our world-leading research and development and our state-of-the-art facilities.  Find out more.

More about Energy Technologies Research Institute (ETRI)

The ETRI unites energy research across a range of disciplines at the University of Nottingham.  Over 150 academics contribute to our impressive portfolio of research, development and demonstration projects.  Altogether these are worth over £60m, funded by government, industry and the EU.  Our Beacons of Excellence are at the core of our global vision and will champion field-leading research in response to global challenges.  The University works with many of the world’s leading energy companies.  Furthermore, we are always keen to explore new, mutually beneficial, collaborations.
