Unlocking Growth Potential: Leadership & management programme

12 September, 2017

Nottingham University Logo

The Ingenuity network, run through the University of Nottingham, is offering a programme of sessions for SMEs.  In short, Unlocking Growth Potential offers a complementary blend of training and coaching.  Moreover, it is designed for ambitious owners of small or medium businesses in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire who are committed to growing their business.

In summary, this is a new business growth programme from the University of Nottingham.  As a result of attending, companies would be expected to gain:

  • Clarity over how to create and capture more value
  • Coherence to sustain growth with more effective management techniques
  • Consistency to plan and implement growth more rigorously
  • Confidence to lead others and thrive as a business owner
  • Community benefits from joining a cohort of ambitious and committed growth-oriented business owners

Programme content

The programme consists of a half-day induction, followed by six days of workshop training.  Furthermore, it concludes with a half-day presentation of growth plans and actions to be taken as a result of attending the programme.  The programme combines training and coaching to help delegates achieve their growth plans and aspirations.  Moreover, it is supported by a substantial on-line learning resource.

The workshops will explore a range of topics that are vitally important for business growth, such as leadership, developing teams, and financial planning.  There will be two different levels of the programme in order to suit the varying needs of delegates.  For more information about each, please see the detailed information on the following documents:

In addition, our delivery partners at The Centre for Management and Business Development have a skilled and experienced team of trainers and coaches.  These are ideally suited to ensuring the latest thinking around business growth is made both accessible and relevant to the SMEs on the programme.
