Evidence of Business Confidence

Local market research suggests that following a lengthy period of recession and economic downturn, business confidence is starting to return, which means that businesses can start to invest, expand and recruit.

The Midlands Business News (02.07.13) reports – “Strong UK sales and easing cash flows enabled local businesses to record their strongest performance in two and a half years. Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce’s (DNCC) latest quarterly economic survey found that businesses are also reporting increasing confidence as they look ahead to the rest of the year, whilst their short-term order books – particularly from the domestic markets – are also filling up.”

This is good news for Ashfield & Mansfield since the area is ideally positioned to attract new and growing businesses owing to good communication links (rail and road as well as access to superfast broadband) and being located close to major cities like Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield, yet enjoying comparatively low rental values and no Workplace Parking Levy.

A current supply of good quality office accommodation, especially within the size brackets of 0-2,500 sq. ft., is ideal for meeting spatial needs of new and growing businesses employing up to 25 people.  If you are currently looking for a commercial property, please contact invest@mansfield.gov.uk for assistance with finding the ideal solution for your business or alternatively you can perform your own property search here.
