Local people with an interest in sport and leisure are being urged to apply to join a Board of Trustees responsible for overseeing the future development of Mansfield District’s five leisure centres.

In 2012 the management responsibility for Mansfield District Council’s five leisure centres transferred to Mansfield District Leisure Trust (MDLT) with Serco Leisure delivering the day-to-day service on the Trust’s behalf.  The MDLT Board of Trustees is now looking to recruit local people to the Board and wants to hear from anyone, with the right skills and commitment, interested in helping plan for future development of the service.  The Trustees are responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the Trust and ensuring that the aims and objectives of the agreement between Mansfield District Council and MDLT are achieved.

The Board is seeking a mixture of people with a range of skills and experience and would particularly welcome applicants with a background in community development, health, education, financial management, law or business management.  If you would like to have an informal discussion about the roles and responsibilities of the position, please contact the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Brian Taylor on 01327 354 800 or 07738 516923.  To request an application form and information pack, please email
