Asmech Systems

Earlier this year Invest Ashfield & Mansfield launched a monthly feature in the CHAD to let businesses across Ashfield and Mansfield know all about the useful and important work being delivered through this project.  Here’s the latest CHAD update for December:

Following Invest Ashfield & Mansfield’s success at the national property show, MIPIM UK, we attended the East Midlands Property Show in Nottingham on Thursday 6 November. Invest Ashfield & Mansfield showcased Ashfield and Mansfield as a great place to do business with an exhibition stand and seminar. The talks covered a variety of subjects, including regional property trends, D2N2’s strategic economic plans, Ashfield and Mansfield property opportunities and new research on why businesses relocate. These presentations are now available on the documents and links page of the Invest Ashfield & Mansfield website.

On Friday 21 November, the Invest Ashfield & Mansfield team was proud to attend the official opening of Asmech System’s new premises on Millennium Business Park. A major supplier to some of the world’s leading corporations, creating bespoke conveyor and handling systems for the food & drink processing industries and container manufacturers, their move was helped by a £100,000 grant from D2N2’s Unlocking Investment for Growth (UI4G) programme.

Asmech is a shining example of success within the engineering industry and Shane Gunstone, Managing Director and Invest Ashfield & Mansfield AMbassador, spoke of the importance of investing in their future engineering workforce through an apprenticeship programme and promoting Mansfield as a successful place to do business. Grants of up to £1,500 are still available across Ashfield and Mansfield for taking on a new apprentice aged 19-24 in addition to the national grant. For further information, visit
