Invest Ashfield & Mansfield launched a new monthly feature in the CHAD last month to let businesses across Ashfield & Mansfield know all about the useful and important work being delivered through this project.  Here’s a quick snapshot of our second CHAD entry for March:
Invest Ashfield & Mansfield is a business engagement project promoting the area as the place to do business, invest and grow. The project was launched in May 2012 and since our last update in February, the Project Board has been finalising a new action plan for everything we’ll be doing over the next few years. This includes new promotional material, advertising, business events, marketing campaigns and improved business engagement, website, and social media.
Volunteers are being sought for a steering group for the AMbassadors’ programme, which was successfully launched in December. More than 80 business owners and community leaders have signed up as AMbassadors. They benefit from showcasing their business and success in return for attending and hosting events to promote and recommend the area to prospective investors. The steering group’s role will be to develop, agree and implement a range of AMbassadors’ initiatives.
We are also looking to put together an AMbassadors’ team for an ambitious 24-hour sponsored bike ride for the Special Care Baby Unit at King’s MillHospital. This idea was born at the AMbassadors’ launch event last year and the 240-mile ride from Sheffield to Southampton will take place on Saturday 21 June. Six volunteers are needed to complete a 60-mile stretch and act as pacemakers for the whole group.
Invest Ashfield & Mansfield is funded by Ashfield and Mansfield District Councils and the European Regional Development Fund. It provides several free and confidential services including business-related training events, property searches, business surveys, relocation advice and information.
