Johnston Press NMSY Apprenticeship Awards – apply now

March 1, 2018 10:04 am

Introducing the second year of the Johnston Press North Midlands and South Yorkshire (NMSY) Apprenticeship Awards.  Celebrating the hard work of the region’s apprentices and training providers, these awards are open to firms from Ashfield & Mansfield.  But you need to be quick as the deadline for entry is 6pm on Thursday 29 March.  What’s more, there is an application writing workshop in Sheffield on Thursday 8 March to support applicants and improve their chance of success.

Launched in 2017, this event proved a real success so it’s now being held for its second successive year.  Moreover, these awards are open to businesses who employ apprentices, apprentices themselves, plus training providers and mentors.

Workshop available

In order to support potential applicants, a FREE application workshop is being held on Thursday 8 March in Sheffield.  This session will be run by Lucinda White, an experienced award writer who runs the bespoke award writing consultancy Pure Awards Creative in Chesterfield.  Lucinda works closely with Johnston Press to assist business owners and marketing teams across the region to prepare for these Apprenticeship Awards.  Furthermore, she will also be offering additional services such as the Critique at a reduced rate to those who attend.

Why attend?

Over the last three years, Lucinda has helped many businesses achieve the coveted shortlist then go on to accept the winner’s trophy at the celebration awards dinner.  In 2017, Lucinda assisted with entries for the Derbyshire Times Business Awards with NINE of her clients winning their chosen category on the night.  Not only that, but one company won FOUR categories.  Furthermore, she is keen to work with Ashfield & Mansfield companies to bring success to the area through the CHAD awards.

Course objectives

In summary:

  1. Gain the valuable insight into the benefits of entering awards
  2. Overcome the barriers of preparing your award applications
  3. Understand the real ROI of entering awards
  4. Give you tips on how you can impress the judges and practical support for when you decide to submit your entry.
