Lindhurst Innovation Engineers, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, is at the forefront of providing engineering solutions for a diverse range of sectors, including transport equipment manufacturers.

Founded in the mid-1980s, Lindhurst’s aim was to provide fabrication, mechanical and electrical engineering services to the UK mining industry.  More recently, the company has identified a much broader sector appeal for its engineering innovation including Original Equipment Manufactures (OEM) in the transport sector and has made a strategic commitment to increase its market share in this sector, particularly in rail and, more recently, the civil nuclear sectors.

To achieve its ambitions, Lindhurst has begun working with Enscite, which is supporting the implementation of its 3D design system. Enscite’s Sid Bains, Head of Innovation and Technology, explains: “So far, we have already enhanced Lindhurst’s network of experts who can provide tailored and timely training and advice on integrating the 3D system in a way that resonates with the Lindhurst business, including introducing them to 3D experts from Cranfield University, one of our partners.”

”When I heard about the aims of Enscite I was immediately interested,” said Martin Rigley, Managing Director of Lindhurst and an Invest Ashfield & Mansfield AMbassador. “Whilst we had made some in-roads already in the transport engineering sector, Enscite has assisted us in identifying areas for development and are now working with us to help us turn these into reality.

“Lindhurst is an innovative, ambitious organisation that is keen to further develop its opportunities within the transport engineering sector supply chain; this makes us a perfect fit for Enscite and its ethos.

“We believe the development work Enscite will facilitate, backed up by the excellent networking opportunities the organisation can provide, will lead to us establishing our business firmly in the sector.”
