Around 60 new jobs look set to be created after a marketing business in the area was given the green light to expand.

Linney Group, on Adamsway has been successful in applying to build a three-storey office and design studio next to their current site.

The 1.69 hectare grassed space is in front of the current building, and it is envisaged that the development will see an increase in the workforce from 90 up to 150, which the company says could be phased in over time.

Planning officers said the construction would ‘make a positive contribution in terms of employment opportunities and to the surrounding area and the district as a whole’.

Mansfield District Council’s planning committed agreed and voted unanimously to support the application.

Miles Linney, of Linney Group, spoke of his joy of the application being passed.

He said: “We were over the moon. We were quietly confident and hopeful, but you never know.”
