Mansfield Business Centre, a prominent provider of serviced office accommodation in Mansfield, said it is well-placed to take advantage of the early signs of economic recovery.

Over the last few months, the business centre has experienced a steady uptake of office space, which evidences the positive effects that the economic recovery is having on the Mansfield businesses.

The business centre offers high quality serviced office accommodation for growing businesses and is located within walking distance of Mansfield town centre. The flexible office accommodation extend to 15,000sq ft (1400m2) over four floors with a wide range of flexible suites/rooms ranging from 100sq ft (10m2) to 1,200sq ft (120 m2).  The premises are also equipped with access to high speed broadband, conferencing and virtual office facilities and ample on–site parking for its tenants and visitors.

The economic downturn saw a significant reduction in occupancy levels over a 2-3 year period, partly due to cuts in government funding which affected a number of the businesses based there. However, Centre Manager, Emma Dove, is pleased to report that occupancy levels are steadily picking up with four new business tenants in the last 6 months and many more enquiries via a multitude of different sources.

The business centre shares a common boundary wall with the recently demolished Mansfield General Hospital. Emma said: “The demolition of the hospital, which was an eyesore, will hopefully be the start of regeneration for this area and will be instrumental in bringing more people and attracting new businesses; the business centre stands to benefit from improved visibility and prominence.”

The business centre was built in the mid-1930s as a School of Nursing and subsequently refurbished and refitted for use as an office building.
