Introducing the Environmental Technology Centre

Since 2000 the Environmental Technology Centre (ETC) at Nottingham University has been helping small and medium sized  businesses to make improvements to their bottom line – through the adoption of environmentally friendly  working practices and the use of cleaner, renewable and more sustainable technologies.  The ETC was specifically formed with this in mind and has helped a number of businesses across the East Midlands, case studies and news stories from which are proudly exhibited on their website.

Due to the global and growing importance of environmental issues, the ETC can work for those businesses who qualify for between 2 to 5 days at no cost to the business, since all the costs are met by  European Funding through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).  By considering environmental issues  businesses can increase efficiency and profitability, whilst at the same time creating excellent marketing opportunities.

Of course there are many ways that businesses across Ashfield & Mansfield can engage with universities around our area.  For more information on the offers from our local universities (including Nottingham University, Nottingham Trent University, Derby University, Sheffield University and Sheffield Hallam University) and Vision West Nottinghamshire College, please see our documents and links page.
