Superfast Broadband for Nottinghamshire – New workshops for November

October 21, 2013 12:07 pm

Nottinghamshire businesses are being urged to find out more about what the web can do for them and to avoid getting trapped in the digital slow-lane.  The latest series of free, “byte-sized” workshops are taking place throughout October and November, as part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s project to stimulate demand for the roll-out of superfast broadband across the county.

Internet searches have become our main mechanism for understanding ourselves, our world and our place within it so it goes without saying that quicker connection, download and upload speeds are essential for modern life in terms of both our work and leisure time.  Did you know that over 10 million websites have Google Analytics installed, or that Pinterest is the fastest growing social media platform?

The workshops provide a fantastic opportunity for businesses of all sizes to find out how the web can work for them, with expert guidance on topics including:

  • Search Engine Optimisation
  • Blogging
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube
  • Google Analytics
  • Selling Safely Online
  • Email Marketing

These workshops are very helpful and we would urge as many as possible to attend the workshops, to demonstrate the demand for superfast broadband in Nottinghamshire to improve both our business and personal lives.  Free food, refreshments and parking will be provided at events, with one lucky winner being chosen to win one of the latest iPad’s in a prize draw for attendees.

A Twitter account @superfastnotts has been created to allow followers to keep up to date with the latest information on workshops and delivery of the Superfast Broadband for Nottinghamshire project in general.

Workshops will be held on the following dates/venues.  To register, please click here.
