Networking & Networks

There is a wide range of organisations currently offering networking events across Ashfield and Mansfield.  We also run an AMbassadors group, giving local companies the opportunity to celebrate Ashfield and Mansfield as a premier business location.

Some of these networking meetings are through membership organisations whilst others are open to all.  Prices vary according to the type of event and some are even free.  It’s often useful to try a particular event and see if it works for you before you commit to anything long-term.

Networking – why?

Invest Ashfield & Mansfield is eager to work with local businesses to help them trade more with each other.  Of course, local trade benefits the economy in a number of ways.  In particular, it helps local businesses improve productivity through reduced costs, increased sales and improved lead times.

East Midlands Chamber of Commerce

East Midlands Chamber of Commerce (EMC) offers members extensive networking opportunities and a wide range of discounted services.  With this intention, the Chamber organises many different events, including exhibitions, formal meetings and dinners, and more informal networking events.  Find out more.

Entrepreneurs’ Forum

Seminars & Networking

Fundamentally, these events provide the opportunity for new-start businesses (and those thinking of starting up) to meet and network.  In essence, these FREE sessions allow people in similar situations to share ideas and learn from each other.  Above all, they also encourage inter-trading.  Not to mention that all this takes place in a relaxed and informal setting.

Our seminars have been developed with our local businesses over time to address many important current issues and challenges.  As a result, expert speakers present these seminars, discussing hot topics affecting your business.

Enterprising Women

Networking Events

In essence, these informal events support women to explore working for themselves or develop new ideas in an existing business.

In fact, these events give you the opportunity to meet like-minded women in similar situations, share ideas, provide support and learn from each other.  Not only that, but the same business experts are also on hand for further discussion and support.
