The CHAD business awards

The Chad’s business awards are one of Mansfield’s highest profile awards.  In fact, winning an award will say a lot about the quality of both your organisation and your team’s strength.  Indeed, the awards attract a wide range of entries from across all sectors and all organisation sizes.  Moreover, the winners all have one thing in common – they are truly excellent at what they do and have proved this by winning a Chad award.

We want to help you raise the profile of your organisation and enhance its reputation by promoting the great work you are doing while at the same time providing you with a platform to celebrate your success.  What’s more, it’s really easy to apply with the online application form covering all 15 different categories.

Further details and deadline

In short, the closing date for applications this year is midnight on Thursday 28 September.  The following award categories are on offer:



This year’s awards ceremony is held at the Civic Quarter, Chesterfield Road, Mansfield on Thursday 23rd November.  The champagne reception is at 6.45pm with dinner following at 7.30pm.  The awards ceremony itself will follow dinner.  Dress Code is Black Tie, carriages at midnight.  Check out the CHAD business awards website.

Mansfield 2020 awards: the winners

8 categories were vied for, ranging from Entrepreneurial Spirit to Business of the Year to the 2020 Outstanding Contribution to Mansfield and Ashfield award.

Winners this year included R.E.A.L Education for their Commitment to the Community.  And Charlotte Birch from the Academy Transformation Trust was announced as Young Apprentice of Year, with Claytons of Mansfield awarded for their Customer Focus Initiative.  Moreover I-Sourcer was awarded the Entrepreneurial Spirit prize, while Business Innovation and Design of the Year went to Direct Repairs Ltd. New Business of the Year was awarded to Chic Boutique.  And finally, Infinite AV won the prestigious Business of the Year title.

What’s more, the highly respected ‘Outstanding Contribution to Mansfield and Ashfield’ award was given to Dame Asha Khemka.  This was in recognition of her tireless efforts for the good of this area.  Over the last 8 years, Dame Asha has personally driven £50m investment, transforming the College’s estate.  This  project was recently concluded with the opening of the impressive University Centre.  Colleges are now regarded as serious players in the world of business and commerce.  Furthermore, under Dame Asha’s direction, Vision West Nottinghamshire College has become one of the UK’s leading colleges.  Read more.

Chamber’s business awards finalists

The finalists of the Business Awards 2017 were recently revealed at the Chamber President’s Summer Celebration at Thrumpton Hall, Nottingham.  Indeed, the event was attended by long-standing members and Business Awards entrants and the finalists were announced by Chamber President, Geoff Poyzer, and Chief Executive, Scott Knowles.  The finalists will go forward to judging and the winners of the awards will be announced at the gala dinners which will take place in September.  Read more.

Furthermore, for Nottinghamshire, this year’s finalists include a number of local firms from Ashfield and Mansfield.  In no particular order, these are: TIS, the NM Group, Fidler & Pepper, Hopkins, I-Sourcer, BKSB and R.E.A.L. Education.
