Did you know that Ashfield and Mansfield will again host a stage of this prestigious bicycle race?  What’s more, this time the stage will be even more high profile with it finishing in Mansfield.  And it will probably attract even more interest as the date falls on the weekend: Saturday 8 September.

The route

Starting their day in West Bridgford and progressing through the county, this year the racers will travel via Hucknall town centre, through Selston and out through Annesley.  From there, the peleton will enter Mansfield and skirt round Skegby before returning to Mansfield and hosting the final sprint finish just by the Civic Centre.  Find out more about Nottinghamshire’s route.  Of course, there will be various opportunities throughout the route to showcase your business.

Ashfield events

Indeed, events are being held in Hucknall on both Saturday 1 September and the day itself.  On top of the organised events, locals are encouraged to get into the spirit by dressing up, decorating their businesses, organising themed displays, bunting and even land art.  Find out more about the Tour of Britain activities in Ashfield.
