The annual People’s Choice Award, managed by Keep Britain Tidy, is giving the public the power to decide, through an online vote, which one of the 1,448 Green Flag sites awarded this year should be named park of the year.

The parks which were awarded the prestigious Green Flag, recognising the best parks and green spaces in the country, earlier this year were:

  • Ashfield: Titchfield Park in Hucknall, Sutton Lawn, Brierley Forest Park, Portland Park and Kingsway Park in Kirkby and Selston Golf Course.
  • Mansfield: Carr Bank, Titchfield Park, Peafield Park and Yeoman Hill Park.

To show your appreciation of these great spaces, why not cast your vote, as follows:

  • Visit: www.greenflagaward.org.uk
  • Select your region on the interactive map
  • Find the names of the parks you wish to vote for and select
  • Click ‘Vote for this site’

The vote will close at midday on 1 October and the winner of the 2013 People’s Choice will be announced on 9 October at a ceremony in London.
